The information on this form will assist the attorney in assessing your legal matter so that she can estimate the complexity of your case and the time your matter might take to complete. Based on the attorney's best judgment, Amicable Divorce Services may ask you to sign a retainer agreement.
A retainer fee is an advance payment for the work your attorney will do. The retainer fee is placed in a client trust account and withdrawn as the attorney works on your case. If your case settles before the retainer is depleted, you will receive a refund of unused funds. If the retainer is depleted and your case is ongoing, you will be obligated to replenish the retainer in the amount of the initial retainer.
